Toner, cream, serum, eye contour care... You don't know where to start, and above all, you don't know exactly when and how you are supposed to apply them. However, for these treatments to work, they must be applied in a specific order. It's called layering, and we are going to explain how it works.

Practicing layering
Products are multiplying to pamper our skin, so it's easy to get mixed up. Serum first or lotion? Day cream or anti-wrinkle care? And the eye contour, when is it coming?
The ideal method of applying your facial care was developed in Japan because Japanese women do not use 2-in-1 products, but one product for each desired action or area of the face and body. The result: the skin is properly cleansed, moisturized, nourished, cared for, and the complexion is more radiant. This method of care is considered a true beauty ritual.
Well then in what order should I apply my skincare products?
Once you have found the right products for your skin, you need to know when to apply them. Layering starts the beauty routine from the most liquid product to the thickest cream.
Cleansing your skin: a lotion or water
In the morning, the first step is to cleanse your skin with a mild soap or liquid cleansers such as lotion or micellar water. In the evening, this step is preceded by make-up removal. It can be repeated a second time so that the skin is free of all impurities: make-up, dead skin, perspiration, pollution, dust...
Preparing the skin to receive care: the tonic lotion
The tonic lotion bears its name well: it will awaken the epidermis and prepare it to receive the following treatments. But the tonic lotion has much more advantages than preparing the skin, it gives radiance to the complexion and tightens the pores.
First treatment: the serum
The serum should be chosen according to your skin type and the problem to be treated. It contains many active ingredients that act deep in the epidermis and boosts the action of the moisturizer. It is possible to apply a serum in both the morning and evening routine.
Don't forget: the eye contour area
The skin of the eyelids and the eye contour is fine, delicate, and fragile. It needs specific care to avoid the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles. A classic moisturizing cream is too thick and creamy for this area of the face, which is why it is essential to choose an eye contour care product adapted to your needs. Do not hesitate to tap with the tip of your index finger around the eye: this allows the treatment to penetrate, activates blood circulation and thus reduces skin sagging.
On that, we can definitely recommend you our Diana Beauty Revitalizing Eye-Cream. Perfect for all skin types, keeping the moisture in your skin all day long and made of natural quality ingredients, without paraben and cruelty-free. You should give it a try!

Nourishing the skin: the moisturizing cream
Whatever your skin type, it needs moisture. Yes, even oily skin: sebum production panics if the skin feels stressed or dry, acting as a protective shield. So, it's time to give it a moisturizing and nourishing treatment, to be applied with small massages from the bottom and top and in circular movements.
Protect from UV rays: the SPF
Finally, the last step: protecting the skin from the sun's rays. It is always a good idea to apply an SPF at the index corresponding to your skin tone.
And that's it, your skin is ready for make-up!
It is advised that those who don't want to follow all of these steps, should at least opt for the minimum, namely cleansing and moisturizing. Then, it's up to each person to fill out their beauty schedule as they see fit.
And you, what’s your beauty routine? Do you follow all of these steps, only some of them? Or do you have another way of doing it?
